Starting with about 500 toys, this collection of farm toys is now up to more than 3,000. From John Deere to Massey Ferguson to Case, Canada’s Toy Farm Museum has replicas of them all. There are tractors, farm implements, construction equipment, even tractor trailers, cars, trucks and old pedal tractors. The oldest toy dates back as far as 1883, an ox kart being pulled by two oxen, a cast-iron toy made by the Carpenter Toy Company. One of the favourites is a replica of the 747 Big Bud, the world’s largest farm tractor built in Havre, Montana. The farm also has some Massey-Harris-Ferguson implements, which have local ties with Alanson Harris, who established a foundry in Beamsville in 1857.
